What Is an Electromagnetic?

An electromagnetic connection is formed when:

You have one gate
The other person has its harmonic gate
Together, the full channel is completed

This channel, in the context of the relationship, becomes alive. It creates a bond that’s mechanical, not personal.

Ra said:

“Electromagnetics create chemistry. But they are not necessarily compatible. Attraction is not correctness.”

Why Are Electromagnetics So Powerful?

Because they:

Are invisible and inescapable
Activate energy neither person has alone
Often trigger life-altering relationships
Represent unfinished business from previous cycles (karma)

These are the “you complete me” connections. The feeling is instant:

“I feel drawn to you.”
“I can’t stop thinking about you.”
“We’re different, but I can’t let go.”

Ra called them karmic pulls, designed to create experience, confrontation, and sometimes correction.

The Karma of Electromagnetics

These relationships carry one or more of the following:

Creative friction
Unresolved themes
Lessons from past lives (cycles)

Ra emphasized:

“Electromagnetics don’t mean the relationship will last. They mean the relationship is necessary.”

Electromagnetics bring people together for:

Growth
Mutation
Awakening

But they can also:

Burn out quickly
Become addictive
Be painful if not entered correctly

One brings Gate 59 (penetration), the other Gate 6 (emotional boundaries)
Sparks sexual chemistry, emotional bonding
Can be deeply satisfying — or volatile

One has Gate 29 (commitment), the other Gate 46 (embodiment)
Pulls people into shared experiences, travel, physical pleasure
Can create deep intimacy — or overcommitted chaos

⚡️ Channel 43-23: The Genius to Freak

One brings Gate 43 (inner knowing), the other Gate 23 (expression)
Powerful for mental and creative partnerships
Can be exhilarating — or lead to misunderstanding

How to Interpret Electromagnetics in Relationships

🔹 1. Count How Many Exist

Too many = intensity, chaos, magnetism
Just a few = clear, focused purpose
None = potentially no spark, but easier compatibility

🔹 2. Identify Which Channels

Are they Tribal? Individual? Collective?
This shows the theme of the connection:

Tribal = support, family, survival
Individual = mutation, transformation
Collective = sharing, experience

🔹 3. Look for Awareness Centers

Channels through the Ajna, Solar Plexus, or Spleen mean:

Mental bonding
Emotional chemistry
Instinctual connection

The Danger of Chasing Chemistry

Ra warned:

“The not-self chases the spark — the electromagnetic — thinking it means love.”

But without:

Strategy
Authority
Awareness

You may enter relationships that are karmic but incorrect. You experience the pain but miss the lesson.

This is why so many people:

Repeat relationship patterns
Feel drawn to “the wrong person”
Struggle to leave intense, magnetic relationships

Electromagnetics ≠ Compatibility

They represent:

Karmic attraction, not long-term alignment
A mechanical charge, not emotional resonance
A call to consciousness, not comfort

Ra:

“The spark is there for a reason — to bring you into an experience. But it doesn’t tell you if you’re meant to stay.”

Making Peace with Electromagnetics

Observe: Notice your most magnetic connections
Reflect: Are you pulled or pushed? Awakened or trapped?
Decide: Only your Authority can say yes or no

The beauty of Human Design is that it doesn’t say “avoid” — it says “be conscious.”
